Jason has been singing for over 20 years. His early love for country and classic rock came from listening to the music his grandfather and father played on the radio in their workshops when he was young. His grandfather gave him his first guitar in his early teens and to this day Jason wears a ring on his necklace to honor him. Jason started performing as a solo artist in his junior year of high school covering classic rock, country, modern rock and pop songs often rearranging songs to fit a more acoustic format. Starting in 2008 Jason began taking part in local singing competitions placing several times in the Plainfield Country Music Talent Show and eventually winning the Woodstock Fair Karaoke Contest networking with voice coaches associated with national touring acts along the way. In 2017 Jason joined his first full band, Gunpowder & Lead, playing shows in Southeastern Connecticut and Western Rhode Island before joining the Stone County Band in the summer of 2020. Jason saw the opportunity as a great new challenge after being invited to a practice by Bob Boutin that would eventually result in the formation of the Stone County Band.

Jason considers himself a student of the stage taking influence from entertainers like Charlie Daniels, Garth Brooks and Brad Paisley as well as adapting lessons from his time in theater productions in high school and college. In 2013 Jason attended over 25 concerts with the goal of learning from the best in different genres about how to relate and work a crowd during a show. He incorporates a little bit of every artist he has seen into his stage presence and considers his job to make sure the fun never stops. Playing with the Stone County Band has allowed Jason to grow even more as an entertainer and vocalist including taking on songs he never thought were within his range or capability.
